Follow these quick steps to set-up and update 2-Step Verification for your My ISED Account.
1 Sign in to your My ISED Account and go to the Security page.
Having trouble with the one-time code page?
Trouble using the text message, phone call or an authenticator application method:
If there are no outages, you can choose to have the one-time code sent to your email.
On the 2-Step Verification page where you’re prompted to enter the one-time code, at the bottom of the screen, click “Send the code by email instead?” and then select “Temporary – send one-time code to your email.” This will allow you to sign in without changing your 2SV method.
Trouble using the email method:
If you're not receiving the one-time code, make sure to check your email’s junk or spam folder.
If you still can't find the code, please contact us for assistance. After resolving the issue, we recommend using an authenticator app, text messages, or phone calls as your 2SV method. This will ensure you have email recovery available for future 2SV support issues.
2 Choose one of the following methods to receive a one-time verification code. Follow the steps on the page to choose and set up your preferred option.
Authenticator application option
- Install a supported authenticator application (e.g., Google Authenticator or FreeOTP) on your smartphone.
- Set up an authentication app by scanning a QR code.
- Use the one-time code from the app during login.
Call or text message option
Provide your mobile phone number to receive a security code by text message or by automated phone call.
- For a text message, provide your mobile phone number (local or international).
- For an automated phone call, provide your mobile or landline phone number.
- Receive a one-time code by text or automated message.
- Enter the code during login.
E-mail option
- Use the email your provided during registration.
- Receive an email with a one-time code.
- Enter the code during login.
3 Your account now has an extra layer of security.
Note: Users must enter a one-time code each time they sign in to our online services.
