Recover your existing My ISED Account

Quick steps

Follow these quick steps to recover your My ISED Account with a new sign-in credential.

1 Create a new GCKey or Sign-In Partner credential.

What is a credential?

A credential allows you to sign into an online account, typically using a username and password. GCKey and Sign-In Partner provide credentials that allow you to use the same login for multiple government services.

To access any service from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), you must sign in with your credential and create/access your My ISED Account.

More information about login credentials can be found on our Frequently asked questions page.

What is GCKey?

GCKey is a simple way to securely access Government of Canada online services. Your GCKey credential can be used to access multiple Government of Canada online services. For more information, visit GCKey—FAQ.

If you choose this option, sign in with your GCKey username and password. If you do not have a GCKey account, you must create one by providing a username, a password and password recovery questions.

What is Sign-In Partner?

You can access government services by using your online banking credentials or a Sign-In Partner participating in the Interac® sign-in service.

If you choose this option, sign in using your chosen Sign-In Partner. You will temporarily go to your Sign-In Partner's site. Once you are signed in, you will be redirected back to the service you initially selected. Your Sign-In Partner will not know which government service you are using.

None of your banking or personally identifiable information (for ex., financial, banking) will be shared with the government services you are accessing.
