Comments can be submitted in a written or oral format:

To submit written feedback:

  • Share your ideas using the online form
  • Directly email the Indigenous Spectrum Policy Team (ISPT)
  • Mail the ISPT. For the mailing address please see the IPW website

To submit feedback orally:

  • Participate in an engagement session delivered by ISED. A list of all planned sessions can be found on the IPW website
  • Email ISPT and request to meet with the team

The team will share transcripts of any discussions with participants to ensure all oral feedback is captured accurately.

The reply comment period allows interested parties to submit their views on the initial comments of others, as well as ISED’s initial proposals. These comments may be submitted in oral or written formats, as mentioned above.

Next steps

Once the IPW engagement period has concluded, ISED will consider all the feedback received and begin working toward the following:

  • Publication of final IPW spectrum policy framework
  • Publication of list of available licences in the 1900 MHz Personal Communications Services (PCS) and 800 MHz Cellular (Cell) bands***
  • Opening and closing of IPW for the PCS and Cell bands
  • Publication of updated list of available licences for the general ASL window for the PCS and Cell band***
  • Opening and closing of general ASL window for all applicants for the PCS and Cell bands

* May be updated from time-to-time. Details of the schedule will be posted on the website. For any questions related to any aspects of the IPW process, prospective applicants can reach out the Indigenous Spectrum Policy Team (ISPT).
** Radio licences under the Access Licensing Framework are made available once the Standard Radio System Plans are published by ISED. Key dates identified in this table and the IPW process do not apply to the Radio Licences made available through the Access Licensing Process.
