Notes for applicants!

This Letter of Intent sets out the standard information that is required for obtaining authorization to test/trial wireless technology/services in Canada. ISED may seek further information or clarification from the applicant at any point throughout the application process or authorization period.
Once you have completed the form, click Submit at the bottom of the page. The form will be directed to the appropriate ISED district office based on the applicant’s address.
The fee for a developmental radio licence can be found on the Spectrum and telecommunications fees webpage as item 4 of Table 1.
The fee for a developmental spectrum licence will not be applied until it has been established through a future fee review process. In order to obtain a developmental spectrum licence, the applicant must demonstrate that the nature of the testing concerns high-density, low-powered systems across a specified area.

Submitting your Letter of Intent
