The journey to a post-carbon world will continue to be gradual. The bridge that links the present to the future will most likely be transitionary sources of energy, such as Katal Green Fuel, which is a blend of water, biodegradable additives and regular diesel fuel. Developed through Project ORCA, this fuel burns cleaner and goes further than regular diesel. It also supplies just as much energy output and most importantly, it requires no engine modifications to existing marine vessels.
